We are seeking to appoint an experienced and innovative academic to a
Lecturer B position in the Discipline of Media, School of Humanities. You
will have a strong record in teaching and research in digital communications
and media, and join the group responsible for delivery of one of the Faculty
of Social Sciences' professional degrees, the B. Media: a research-grounded,
industry-oriented program with a contemporary focus on transmedia platforms
and social media. You will contribute to the ongoing, exciting development
of the B. Media; to future postgraduate programs; to the Discipline's
profile as an area of emerging research strength; and to postgraduate
supervision. 

Position Requirements 
You should have:
*	A PhD in a relevant area of digital media and communications, e.g,
social and participatory media, digital policy, new forms of journalism and
online content management
*	A strong record of, and demonstrated commitment, to research and
publishing within an ERA framework
*	The ability to take on course administrative responsibilities and
co-teach across the core first-year and upper-level offerings, as well as to
offer an elective course based on your individual field of research
expertise
*	A strong commitment to teamwork, and demonstrated collaborative
approaches to achieving research and teaching excellence
*	A willingness to experiment with and use online and blended
approaches to learning and teaching.
