Below are details of a job opportunity at the University of Leeds

Institute of Communications Studies

Teaching Fellow in Television Production (fixed-term for three years)
(Part-time 80% FTE)

This post is an excellent opportunity for a well qualified and highly
experienced television production practitioner at producer or director level
in industry to develop a career in Higher Education.

The position provides a development opportunity for a career move from
production practice to teaching and research in the HE sector. Teaching
responsibilities will be allocated in the light of current workloads of
existing academic staff, and of the experience and aptitude of the
successful applicant.

You will be expected to teach undergraduates a range of TV production skills
including studio direction and single camera production and to demonstrate
the abilities expected of a team leader in charge of small groups of staff.
The Institute¹s teaching in this area has a track record of collaboration
with television companies and other external organisations.

You must have a first degree, BA or BSc. in a traditional arts & humanities;
sciences or social sciences discipline; or in media or a media­related area
and proven experience in television production.

The post is available from 20 September 2010, or as soon as possible after
that date.

University Grade 7 (£29,853 - £35,646 p.a., pro rata)
