La Trobe is offering $6,000 bursaries to outstanding post-doctoral
candidates to support them in writing an ARC application.

Please pass this on to any aspiring post-doc students you know and invite
them to contact Sue Turnbull at La Trobe if they are interested in pursuing
a post-doc application in Media, Communication  or Cinema Studies.

BURSARIES TO SUPPORT CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR ARC POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS
 
 
ARC Australian Postdoctoral (APD) Fellowships provide opportunities for
researchers at the postdoctoral level to undertake research of national and
international significance and to broaden their research experience.
APD Fellowships are available to researchers with up to three years'
research experience since the award of the PhD degree or equivalent research
doctorate.
To support candidates applying for ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellowships,
the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, La Trobe University is
offering bursaries of $6,000 to well qualified candidates.
Applications are called for in the following fields: Archaeology, History,
Literature, Linguistics, Media and Communications, Philosophy, Politics and
Sociology.
Applicants should send a statement of their proposed research project of up
to 6 pages in length and a CV, including a full list of publications, to
Trish Hills, c/- Faculty Office, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,
La Trobe University Victoria 3086 or email to p.hills at latrobe.edu.au.
