Hi,

for those interested in music and the nature of creative collaboration:

Collaborations: Creative Partnerships in Music
4 - 6 June 2009

Creative partnerships are common, and indeed, essential in music. This
conference explores music creativity across all music genres and
contexts of production that include famous and infamous collaborations
that challenge political, social and artistic conventions. This event
brings together musicians, academics and journalists to discuss why
partnerships of all kinds are important in musical creativity, what
makes them work and why they fail.

Keynote Speakers

Dr Janine Burke, School of English, Communications and Performance
Studies (Monash Fellow), Monash University

Dr Peter Doyle, Department of Media, Music and Cultural Studies,
Macquarie University
