Transforming Cultures and the South Asia Seminar group presents

Professor Imran Ali is Professor of Economic History and Business  
Policy at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. He has also  
taught at the University of NSW and the University of Melbourne. He is  
the author of Punjab under Imperialism, 1885-1947, and has a number of  
other publications on Punjab and Pakistan. His research interests  
centre around Political Economy and the history of business and  
agrarian development in Pakistan. He is visiting Australia for a  
conference in Canberra on South Asia: security and human environment.

He will present a paper on Challenges and Threats to sustainability in  
Pakistan.
