Fixed Term: Salary Level 6: A $59K - A$63K per year pro-rata (plus up to 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading).
 
A suitably qualified and experienced research assistant is sought for an Australian Research Council study on mobile media, undertaken by Professor Gerard Goggin and Associate Professor Kate Crawford.
 
The successful applicant will provide general research assistance for all aspects of this exciting national study, including:
--project management and general research assistance
--independent qualitative research and analysis on discourses of youth and mobile media
--support with publication development process
--organising and assisting with research interviews and ethnographic work for the project
--developing research instruments, coding and analysis for a major quantitative survey of youth and mobile media;
--organising and undertaking quantitative research (in conjunction with the project chief investigators)
--organising stakeholder and participants workshops 
 
This is a fixed-term part-time 17.5 hours per week position from August 2008 - April 2011.
