Dear All

Having just gone through this process with other Women's/Gender Studies 
coodinators can I make a suggestion:

*as people prepare their submissions, they share them on the list - to 
save others the work of looking up the info and making the arguments; 
some people have the inside info at their fingertips, which others may 
not know - eg about rejection rates (sic)
*this has worked for us and will mean that if our respective unis 
include our submissions ( I have the impression here at Flinders that 
they will) then the ARC gets a similar message from across several unis
*short and concise submissions are probably better

There were some striking mistakes in the ranking of feminist journals - 
in the 1699 Other Studies in Human Society category - and one thing I 
was asked to do at Flinders was to point out descrepancies - ie if X 
journal has an 'A*' then it is crazy that Y journal has been given a 
'B', for these reasons etc etc - this strikes me as a good strategy
