The Writing and Cultural Studies program at the University of  
Technology offers Australia's longest established and most highly  
regarded program of its kind.
The courses at undergraduate and coursework postgraduate levels offer  
a fusion of writing as a creative practice and critical study as an  
exploration of contemporary media, art and popular culture. The  
approach to learning, teaching and research situates creative practice  
at the heart of critical and theoretical exploration.
UTS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Writing and Cultural  
Studies Program invites applications for a Lecturer (two year contract  
position) commencing July 2008. The successful applicant will have an  
emerging profile in an area of creative writing and cultural or  
critical study.
The position will be predominantly dedicated to the current and new  
undergraduate major in Writing and Cultural Studies. However they will  
have the ability to engage in the development of innovative curriculum  
in both creative writing and cultural studies and may be involved with  
supervision at Honours level and higher levels (if experienced.)

Salary range: $70,309 to $83,474 pa. The University offers salary  
packaging plus attractive superannuation.
