[csaa-forum] Policing the booze crisis?

Hi all, 

I was chatting with a colleague (I wish I could say that it was over a drink) and it occurred to us that the new Government's "War on booze", and all the "binge-drinking" talk that's feeding into it, seem to be a textbook example of "policing the crisis"-style moral panic. It has all the requisite ingredients, and seems to be progressing in a familiar direction...

Or is it completely different? 

Has anyone been asked to comment in the media on this stuff?
