The new issue of Colloquy, dedicated to Utopias, is now online.
Please have a look at http://www.colloquy.monash.edu.au
This issue publishes new work dedicated to the analysis of utopias in
film, literature, critical studies and digital technologies.
Colloquy is currently seeking unsolicited submissions for Issue 15, a
general issue to be published in March 2008. Academic articles, review
articles, reviews, translations and creative writing will all be
considered. The deadline is upon us so please forward any potential
submissions as soon as possible.
We are also seeking submissions for Issue 16, a special issue devoted to
Walter Benjamin's Critique of Violence, to be published in November
2008 and guest edited by Michael Fitzgerald. Articles or reviews should
explicitly address, at least in part, either Benjamin's text or
Jacques Derrida's response to it in Force of Law. Contributors are
invited to extend their analyses to include the cognate works of such
thinkers as Schmitt, Agamben, Arendt and others in the continental
tradition. In keeping with the interdisciplinary character of Colloquy,
explicit applications of Benjamin's or Derrida's insights to literary
and cultural production are also welcome. The submission deadline for
Issue 16 is March 15, 2008.
For more information about forthcoming issues and CFPs, please read the
editorial of issue 14 and check the Colloquy web from time to time for
further announcements.
Regards, Geoff Berry,
General Editor.
