Centre Manager 

	CENTRE FOR CRITICAL AND CULTURAL STUDIES, UQ St Lucia Campus 
	
	

	The Centre for Critical and Cultural Studies is located in the
Faculty of Arts at The University of Queensland's St Lucia Campus. The
Director, Professor Graeme Turner was recently awarded an ARC Federation
Fellowship, and is also the convenor of the Australian Research Council
Cultural Research Network which involves collaborations with other
universities around Australia. 
	

	The position would involve working closely with the Director,
Deputy Director and other staff to ensure the smooth daily running of
the Centre. 
	

	The Centre has an established reputation for research excellence
and currently has 8 full-time academic research staff who are widely
published internationally and have extensive research backgrounds. More

	The Role: The position requires a dynamic and conscientious
person who is able to provide sound financial and policy advice to the
Director and Deputy Director. The successful appointee will have strong
finance skills along with an interest in Humanities research, and an
ability to liaise between the Centre, the academic community, and the
public. 
	

	The Person: The successful applicant will have several years
financial/management experience in the tertiary sector, or equivalent
large organisation, and an undergraduate degree in a relevant
discipline. They will have the capacity to undertake projects from start
up and build and maintain a collegial team environment. 
	

	Remuneration: This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW
Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $62,426.37 -
$67,269.78 per annum including employer superannuation contributions of
17%.
