[csaa-forum] Two announcements from the CSAA executive

Dear CSAA members,
 
Two announcements:
 
1. Congratulations to the School of Media, Communication and Culture and the
Centre for Everyday Life at Murdoch University, and the School of
Communication and Culture Studies at Curtin University, who recently won a
joint bid to host the CSAA annual conference for 2008. The CSAA executive
voted to accept the bid, tabled by Murdoch¹s Amanda Third, at our first
meeting for 2007, on 18th May. The venue for the conference is Curtin¹s
School of Mines campus, in Kalgoorlie, and the provisional theme is futures.
 
2. Congratulations to Anna Hickey-Moody, who was voted CSAA Victorian State
Representative on the 18th May. Anna is a is Lecturer in Creative Arts
Education at Monash University, Australia. Her forthcoming monograph,
Unimaginable Bodies will be published by Sense (Netherlands) in 2008.
