Dear Colleagues:

Registration is now open for the Close Relations: the ‘Spaces’ of Greek
and Roman Theatre conference, to be held September 19-23, 2006, at the
University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia. This international,
multi-disciplinary conference links theatre and performance studies,
classical studies, archaeology, and reception studies in an examination
of the 'spaces' (physical, virtual, mental, and cultural) of Greek and
Roman theatre.

Close Relations will feature internationally recognized keynote
speakers Professor Richard Beacham (Kings Visualisation Lab, Kings
College, UK), Professor Lorna Hardwick (Classical Studies, Open
University, UK), and Dr Dmitry Trubotchkin (Russian Academy for Theatre
Arts, Moscow, Russia) along with a full schedule of noteworthy national
and international speakers.

Early-bird registration ends July 31, 2006, so register early to save
more than 15% off your registration fee. Substantial student
discounts apply as well.

For a complete list of scheduled speakers and topics, registration
information and
