MIA book reviews editor: expressions of interest

Media International Australia incorporating Culture&Policy (MIA) is 
one of the country's foremost academic journals covering the media, 
telecommunications and the cultural industries and their policy 
regimes. It is an official journal of the Australian and New Zealand 
Communication (ANZCA) and is published quarterly by the School of 
English, Media Studies and Art History at the University of 
Queensland. MIA is currently looking for a new Book Reviews editor 
for a three year term from early 2006.

Our policy is to publish up to 20 short reviews of books across the 
field from different scholars, with preference given to Australian 
authors. The reviews editor's duties are to select books for review, 
approach potential reviewers, liaise with reviewers and editor and 
edit reviews. Broad knowledge of the field and administrative 
experience are essential.

Interested academics are invited to contact the editor, Helen Wilson 
(heleniwilson at bigpond.com) by January 6, 2006, with a statement of 
relevant qualifications and interest.
