Media Studies 
Media Studies is an established and fast growing subject at Victoria University. It requires a new lecturer to contribute to existing courses and consolidate the developing curriculum. Applicants should have demonstrated research and teaching interests in any of the following fields: visual media culture, new media, media policy. The demonstrated ability to convene at least one of the first year core introductory Media Studies courses would be an advantage. A completed or nearly completed PhD in Media Studies or a closely related discipline is required. This is a permanent appointment, subject to a three-year probationary period, to start from 1 February 2006. Media Studies takes advantage of the special nature of Wellington as the capital city, and the cultural and creative centre of New Zealand. The Wellington location offers staff and students access to central media institutions, media industries, and media organisations. Application Closing Date: 29/07/2005.
