Don't you reckon he is closer to Richie Benaud than any elite
sportsperson? Apologies to Benaud of course. Actually, Benaud seems to
be an unlikely candidate, he is far too accurate and lovable uncle-I-
never-had-type character... Witness the Tropfest finalist: "A Family
Legacy" Everyone loves Benaud, 'AFL' certainly got the most laughs in
the proximity to my Tropblanket. Bolt is more like the annoying-big-
brother-I-sometimes-had. Oh, but this is too familial.

Maybe the unfettered enthusiasm for all things sporting by the King of
Talking Heads, Bruce Mcavaney, in combination with his one-sided
commentary for the Australian ubersporting pundit can serve as a close
parallel to Bolt's unfettered enthusiasm for the princes of the
contemporary state of affairs? I am sure they must have the same
stylist, or at least go to the same hairdresser. Bolt becoming-
Mcavaney. Politics becomes sport. I feel so Australian.
