I haven't read Graeme's piece yet but - I think it is important to remember
that cultural studies isn't the only area under attack by the 'nuts and
bolts' of this world: science, particularly that involving animal
experimentation, genetic manipulation and stem cell research is really
copping it as well. And scientists cannot work without without labs etc and
exquipment whose budget that would dwarf a cultural studies one. Making
allies across faculties would be a v. good idea, so that scholars from arts
and sciences could present a united front.


 Oh dear, the Xmas spirit has made me slightly idealistic...
