Love this image.
I may be one of those inter-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary birds....
I have tended to think of myself as a seagull scavenging on the littoral.
Does this have a 'logic'?

Subject: [csaa-forum] Magpie logic

> Dear Adrian,
>
> Hi, yes, I think the arts industries (and not only in Australia) produce
this 'magpie logic' of/ for people who engage in creative practices. For
instance, I know many people like myself who have a core art practical
background who have side-stepped into other 'discipline' areas/arenas, and
increasingly, some of those areas are better for the introduced, different,
expanded discourses. Magpie logic is not a hybrid whole, political
allegiances remain - causing problems, but also inventive of new forms,
concepts, etc. Without listing names (guess I should check first if people
want to be in the magpie canon), there is, I assure you, another generation
of magpies out here!!
