Sydney University's Media & Communications Program will host the first
in a series of forums in association with the Australian Federation
Against Copyright Theft, designed to promote discussion and debate about
the rights of movies makers and movie fans on the internet. The series
is titled Copy, right? A forum to discuss movie piracy & protection in
the digital age and aims to take a frank look at the law and ethics
surrounding use of audio visual copyright material on the net. The first
forum features Tom Temple, Director of Worldwide Internet Enforcement
for the Motion Picture Association, in conversation with Catharine Lumby
on the topic of peer to peer file sharing.
It's on Friday April 16, 2004, 6.00 - 7.30 pm . Venue: Education Lecture
Theatre 351 Education Building A35 Manning Road,Sydney University, Wine
& cheese provided.
